Thanks Dad

The old car skidded down a road Suha didn't know, she had not known where she was driving for the last half an hour. She was surprised at how well she could drive since she didn't know much about driving and had not been in the driver's seat for months as her parents never let her out nowadays.
SUHA took another turn and she knew she was far away from the city now, as the houses faded into thick trees.
She remembered being on this road two years ago, going on a family vacation, laughing as her parents threw snarky remarks at each other. She would sometimes cheer for her dad and sometimes for her mother, depending on who was winning. Her parents would catch that and the fight would start again, this time she would also be doing the fighting.
She didn't know if they still fought like that now, as they had practically pushed her out of the family after knowing she wasn't smart enough to be at the top of her class.
"I don't see how you are my daughter, an idiot, that's what you are, an idiot."
Her vision blurred as she remembered her dad's bitter voice, still feeling the current she had felt running through her body that morning.
SUHA now remembered where they had been going that day. To her cousins, for surprising them on her birthday.
She had not been there for a long time, and a few days ago she had wished to go there again as it was the beginning of vacations, and even her extra classes were canceled.
"What about your studies, huh? I'm not taking you anywhere" He had said it in a way he would talk to a stranger.
She had spent that night crying in her room, she knew she couldn't take anymore.
SUHA was a few kilometres ahead when she heard a loud noise in the woods and jumped in her seat.
Even the slightest sounds scared her now and she knew why. She knew exactly why the teachers in her school always complained about her being scared and not speaking loud enough.
"I don't get it, when do you study if you're sleeping all the time" Her dad screamed at the top of his lungs, slapping her leg. By now she was tired of repeating her timetable to her father, which comprised only of classes after classes. So with shaky hands, she opened her book and started working with her father screaming in the background.
SUHA slowed as a car rushed past her, overtaking her and disappearing.
"Your cousin has cleared the entrance test and that too at the top of his class, I expect you to bring more than him, if you can't, then that's the gate out." Her father pointed to the gate leading outside their house.
Suha nodded, knowing clearly she'll never be able to do that.
"I know you Suha, you'll never be able to be as good as him, I know you will fail, how I wish he was my son"
SUHA couldn't catch it when the wheel slipped out of her control. The car turned sharply and slid off the uneven gravel, hitting a tree.
Her head hit the wheel and blood oozed out. and within minutes the impact had her dead.
But she would've loved her dad to know one thing before dying, that this death wasn't an accident nor a mistake. It was all how she had wanted it. It was a wish fulfilled.
